Love You with Blue Fern Studios

Hello friends!

Popping in today on a hot, hot afternoon to share a project I made with the new Deja Vu collection from Blue Fern Studios. I absolutely love the soft colors and can't get enough of these papers!

Here is the project:

Seeing my boys in their fleece jackets made me miss the nice chilly weather of Perth in winter! I chose the papers with a nice neutral tone to highlight the orange fleece my youngest (for now) was wearing. Lots of floral and botanical motifs from the different sheets in the collection were used as well in my layering to match the nature in the background. Incidentally this was one of the mornings on the farm stay when I took them out into the orchard and grounds to explore.

Some close-ups:

The Vintage Label chipboard which I had fun altering with 13arts matte paints.

Mixed Chain chipboard which I brushed on a generous layer of crackle paint and cut into three different sections to join them up with twine.

The Twiggy Branch chipboard was perfect for my wooden bird to perch on, and it was covered with stucco and gelato.

Using the Half-tone stamp to create some texture and resist in my background.

That's all I have for today, thanks for dropping by the blog!

love,

  1. Gosh a lovely project and I love the flowers. Made me remember my days growing up on a farm. It is getting cold here and while I love spring and autumn I am not wild about winter or summer too extreme for me :D
