September Sketch Challenge for Blue Fern Studios

Hello there friends!

We're in September, and how fast time has past! Today I'm sharing with you my take on Blue Fern Studios' September sketch challenge as part of my video education post.

Here is the wonderful sketch by Michelle:

And my interpretation of it:

That's my cat again as I realised I havn't scrapped much photos of my pets. I have lots of my children though and to many, they are one and the same. I've used the beautiful papers from Ombre Dreams, as well as some lovely chipboards like the Jeweled Frame, Framed Trinkets, a corner from the Rose Frame and a piece of the Lace Rounds.

Some closeups:

Here's the video of how I put this page together, on the Blue Fern Studios Youtube channel. This is also my first narrated video so do let me know what you think! It was really quite fun doing the editing and narrating and iMovie definitely makes it very easy, although I ended up recording and deleting quite a few clips because I rambled on too much.

I hope you've enjoyed watching the video. And remember to subscribe to us and also drop by the Blue Fern Studios blog for more inspiration from the rest of the lovely DT. Thanks for dropping by and leaving your sweet comments!

Until then,
happy scrapping!

  1. Beautiful layout and I loved watching the video and your narrating was wonderful, thank you for sharing!

  2. Sooooo pretty! I love the composition of this layout! :)

  3. Beautiful! Wish I could use iMovie!! The PC version is rubbish and corrupts all the videos at the end of all your hard work!

    1. make the switch Helen!! You won't regret it!

The beauty of it is that, everything is so intuitive. I plug in my video cam, launch iMovie, and it asks me after a few seconds if I want to import the movies straight from my video cam.

As for the rest of the Mac for my photography and designing work, let's just say I won't go back to a PC ever again.

thank you for dropping a note, it means so much to me!
