I just cannot believe that half a year has gone by so fast, and little Ilias is turning ONE in 10 days' time!
Speaking of which, the 1st day of every month is the day that Paperhaus magazine releases their sketch for everyone to play along. To be honest, I signed up for this without knowing what I'm going to be doing and boy was I pleasantly surprised! Our DT co-ordinator Trina McClune has come up with this fabulous sketch:
Wow! Can you even begin to see the possibilities this sketch brings?
And this is my take on it:
Yep, I DID follow the sketch where the photos and the embellishments were supposed to go. Sort of. Thing is, it didn't exactly start out the way I wanted... but I do love how it turned out!
Some close-ups:
The background was by far the most tricky to create, and I think I really pushed myself this time. There was the gel resist on stencil which I've come to enjoy, with FC gelatos over it. And I tried my hand at a little Solanges-Marques-ish photo melting technique... and I realised well, painting's not exactly my thing but I still love the effect she created.
Not sure if you can see it clearly but I made bubbles from various caps, Ranger's Perfect Pearls and Perfect Medium.
Wood ticket, resist canvas, some shabby chic treasures and of course, flowers....
And more flowers....
Love those little light bulbs! And that die-cut picket fence with crackle medium? Yep, it's the other half from another project!
Well, that's all I have to share for now. Until again, thanks for dropping by!
love,
